The pandemic caused several businesses to go on an uncertain halt due to social distancing norms. Movie theatres were one of the first to discontinue business and it resulted in the postponement and loss of money for several films. But with the lockdown easing, theatres are back in order and a few films have now hit the big screen since the start of 2021. Two films from the South Indian film industry to go at loggerheads have been Vijay’s Master and Ravi Teja’s Krack.

Ravi Teja

Emerging the more victorious one, Krack is now the first blockbuster since COVID-19 hit the country. With its box-office collection at Rs. 23.15 crores, the film has surpassed its Rs. 16.50 crores investment to gain a profit of 140% in just eight days.

The film is attracting audiences not just in the Telugu speaking regions but in other Southern states as well. The film is garnering better numbers than Master, who was expected to beat Krack at the box-office.
