Shahid Kapoor had just wrapped up working for Jersey and was all set to start work on his next titled Yoddha which is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and backed by Karan Johar. However, according to reports on an online portal, Shahid Kapoor has walked out of the project due to creative differences.

Shahid Kapoor reportedly was not happy with the script. According to sources his inputs and his attitude was taken as arrogant behaviour by the team. “Shahid and the team were having a lot of creative differences over the script. Many feel that Shahid has become extremely brash and arrogant after the success of Kabir Singh. He is currently very picky about what he wants to do. Plus, he had not signed on the dotted line, which is also why KJo could not make the official announcement about the same. It’s almost certain that he’s no longer doing the film anymore. Now, it needs to be seen if Karan and Shashank get back to convincing him and adhere to his demands or they look for a new actor to star in the film,” said the source to the online portal.

Yoddha was going to see Disha Patani opposite Shahid Kapoor, but as the film was not announced, the makers are currently in a safe zone. Earlier too Shashank Khaitan’s comedy film Mr Lele starring Varun Dhawan was put on the backburner after the actor decided to not do the film. And before that, another big-budget film with Varun was shelved as well.

Meanwhile, we hear that Shahid will now focus on his web series. He marks his debut in the OTT world with this series helmed by Raj and Krishna DK. The series will be a trilogy and will also star Vijay Sethupathi. It will be shot in Mumbai and Goa.
